Speakers included Evangelist Roy Lauter, Hubert Harriman of World Gospel Missions and Dr. Dennis Kinlaw of the Francis Asbury Society (FAS) and past president of Asbury College.  The FAS and World Gospel Missions sponsored the annual conference, which previously has convened in Ohio, New Jersey and Florida.

Dr. Sandra Gray, President of Asbury College welcomed the group and it’s speakers, which included, Al Coppedge, Dr. John Oswalt, Harold Burgess and Bert Jones, CEO from GoInternational. Topics included “best practices,” “the evangelists perspective,” communications, and management issues, as well as support for national and international missionaries.  Missionaries are now successfully employing the campmeeting model of worship and faith revival in developing countries.

Millions of Americans have attended Christian campmeeting revivals, including the Cane Ridge Campmeeting in Kentucky, which began in 1801.  Chester Heights Campmeeting was founded in 1872 and has operated continuously since then.
