As the Northeast begins to thaw I am planning on some off season trips to a few of my favorite camps in southern New Jersey to pray and read scripture. Carving out time for vacation is hard but a half day break at Erma Camp, Malaga Camp, Ocean Grove or Delanco Camp is a welcome way to make sure I do not “outrun my soul”.
Today I received an email about the Winter issue of the Francis Asbury Society magazine that has me thinking of camps as well. Stephanie Hogan has written a testimony about her sanctification decision, which took place at Delanco Camp Meeting.
Her article reverberates the message E. Stanley Jones offered in his book, The Divine Yes and is a simply beautiful view of the holy life. I commend Ms. Hogan’s article to you and believe it certainly worth your time. I have not yet read the rest of the articles but am looking forward to over the next few nights.
